helpful start in bangkok

mine and cathy's first stop was bangkok. bangkok is huge. it's so overwhelmingly large, that we were lost even on our way to the very first site (and i have a pretty good sense of direction). fortunately for us, a random thai woman saw us looking confused, took us under her wing and basically planned bangkok in a day for us. she wrote us a map in english and thai, got us a tuk tuk driver, negotiated the price with him, and just like that, we were set for the day.

she even wrote our names in thai for us!
